Janora Davenport, our founder and CEO of Nori, is a master cosmetologist with a primary focus as a protective styles and men braids expert, expanding as a natural hair, scalp care, and extension specialist, while elevating braiders with professional training and courses.  Janora has a deep passion for healthy hair braiding techniques and natural hair care.  With 12 years of braiding experience, she has had the opportunity to offer classes and share her knowledge with others while also elevating her own techniques to stamp her mark in the industry. 

Janora’s deep passion for healthy hair led her to obtain a cosmetology license to serve our community with education and knowledge while also expanding services and offering products that align with her practices as a healthy hair care stylist.

 

At Nori, we offer services that include protective styles, natural hair care and styles, scalp care services, extension services, training for braiders, and high-sustainability beauty products with emphasis on our signature Soothing Hair Growth Oil. Her passion for enhancing beauty amongst others began as a college student at Jackson State University where she would service many young ladies on campus with braid services and extension services, while also providing extensions for purchase. This was the start of what has now blossomed into the beauty brand, Nori.  Janora has always had a deep desire to elevate the beauty and minds of women and men with genuine commitment  of promoting healthy hair, high-sustainability beauty products, and empowering our consumers and clients through education on proper hair care practices.
